Debbie Blackmon, President
Debbie, originally from Atlanta, Georgia attended West Georgia College. In 1971, she married Roy and joined him in the copier business. In the following years, Roy and Debbie had two children, Courtney and Brad. As copier business owners, Debbie and Roy won numerous sales awards, including the Minolta Honor Council Top 25 in Region for ten years straight. During this time, the Blackmons were awarded numerous trips around the world from the Minolta Honor Council. Their travels stretched from the Bahamas to Amsterdam, Munich, Austria, Brazil and more. Their most recent award came from Copystar, as they were named one of the Top 25 in the Nation for Copystar sales.
Roy Blackmon, Vice President
Roy, a native of Elberton, Georgia graduated from Georgia State University with a BBA in Business Management. He began selling copiers in 1970 for SCM Corporation, and was quickly promoted to the Branch Manager for their Nashville, Tennessee location. He married Debbie in 1971, and they left Nashville the next year to start their own business. During this time, Roy graduated from the OCS School and became an Officer in the U.S. Army Reserves, serving for eight years. In 1999, Roy and Debbie moved to Statesboro, Georgia where they now reside. Roy's extensive copier knowledge comes from over 40 years experience in the office equipment industry. Roy is proud to say that his two children, Courtney and Brad have joined in the family business at Digital Office Equipment.
Brad Blackmon, Vice President of Operations
Brad attended the University of Alabama where he received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Health Care Management with a minor in Computer Science. He later attended Georgia Southern University where he received a Masters Degree in Health Care Management. After graduation, Brad served as the Assistant Administrator of Emanuel Medical Center. During this time, he was inducted into the inaugural class for the Georgia Hospital Association's Leadership Program. In 2004, Brad decided to follow his aspirations in technology and join his parents at Digital Office Equipment. Since moving to Statesboro, he has been involved in the Leadership Bulloch Program and then was later selected for the Leadership Southeast Georgia Program. Brad has served on the Board of the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce and has taken active roles in civic clubs and various committees. Brad and his wife Abbie have one son, Hunter.
Courtney Mills, Vice President of Administration
Courtney attended Georgia Southern University where she received a Bachelor of Science Degree in Family & Consumer Sciences with an emphasis in Child Life Specialist. After graduation, she served as Director of Chamber Programs for the Statesboro-Bulloch Chamber of Commerce for 14 years. She also served on the Area 13 Management Team for the Special Olympics as the Volunteer Coordinator for 7 years. She is excited about joining in the family business. Courtney married in 2004 to Matt Mills and has two stepchildren Raleigh and Harrison.
Nichole Newton, Public Relations & Marketing
Nichole attended the University of South Carolina Aiken where she was awarded the R.E. Phelon Chancellor's Scholarship, as well as the South Carolina Palmetto Fellows Scholarship. During this time she was honored as a USCA Double Knot Scholar, and was a member of Lambda Pi Eta Communications Honor Society and Gamma Beta Phi Honor Society. Upon graduation, Nichole received a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communications, Magna Cum Laude. She recently relocated back to Statesboro, joining the Digital Office Equipment staff in May 2011.
